Over a period of 30 years Susan Stitt ACS has worked her way up through the international film and commercial industries, working on feature films, and shooting prestigious campaigns, whilst pursuing her love of food, emotional imagery, and light and colour. Having spent eight years studying an Art History major (University of Sydney), coupled with 30 years technical Experience in the motion picture industry,

In 2014 she was awarded her letters from the ACS, for excellence in the field of cinematography as the 7th Woman in Australia. She has won Gold, Bronze and Silver for projects at the ACS awards in 2016-2022. In 2022 she won GOLD for both Art, Innovation and Specialised Photography for her work "The Exchange" and for Best Short Film "The Saturday Night Dress". 

She is currently exhibiting at The National Portrait Gallery in Canberra Australia for "Warwick Thornton 2019" from her work as Stills Photographer on his documentary "The Beach" which screened globally and "Secrets of Thought" at Kfive inn Melbourne. Both are on perm anent display. .

For her entire adult life, Susan has specialised in the intricacies of lighting and the possibilities of Colour. The depth of her practical and academic visual arts training can be seen in her remarkable body of work. Visuals that are almost exclusively created in-camera.
