the beautiful poetry 'SNARED" by David Nobay #nobbytime, encited an idea  for me to put imagery to enliven the words. what an incredible opportunity. an open brief, and a montage to consume my mind. i worked with the idea that the mind scrambles, it flickers with no standing still. memories, futures, and presents, make our subliminal and subconscious swim. metaphors take understanding, and time to resolve in understanding so my chance to make something that required multiple views inspired me to work with the mans voice in the poetry and the history that inhabited it. its meandering, mesmerising, and inhabits liminal spaces. i was awarded SILVER at the 2017 Australian Cinematographers awards for Experimental and specialised.
